Dyson Releases Financial Results; Reports US$1B.

Dyson has reported a 40 per cent rise in profits to more than £600m boosted by strong sales of its products in Asia. The company reported EBITDA profits of £631m in 2016 with turnover alsogrowing by 45 per cent to £2.5bn. Sales were boosted by strong growth in Asia, with a more than 200 per cent. Dyson, the British company that reinvented the vacuum, said it made record earnings of 801 million pounds $1.10 billion last year after Asian consumers bought more of its battery-powered. While Dyson is a private, family-run business, the company has opted to release its 2016 financial results, and, as expected, they're quite favourable, with the company reporting profits up 41% to US$1 billion. But despite the surge in turnover, newly-filed accounts for the business show that its operating profit declined by 15pc, from €897,000 to €755,000 in 2017.
